"Positively Paisley" is an original design from me, inspired by the kaleidoscope fabric prints done by Paula Nadelstern. The paisley base shapes are in three sizes and are layered and appliqued with prints and edgings fussy-cut from over 60 unusual fabrics, before they were placed and sewn onto the background. My quilting is very dense, free-motion, designed to make each paisley stand out. My pictures show the progression of the construction. "Pos-Paise" was shown at The AQS show in Paucah and IQA in Houston. It won a second place at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show and a National Certified Judges Award of Merit at the Minnesota Quilters Show and Conference.
It measures 79" by 79" and is made from commercial printed cottons.
